What You Need to Connect
After purchasing your plan, you will receive an email with your server IP address, username and password. Keep these safe.
Connect on Windows
- Press Windows Key + R, type
mstscand press Enter - Enter your server IP address in the Computer field
- Click Connect
- Enter your username and password
- Click OK - you are connected!
// Tip: Click "Show Options" to save credentials and set screen resolution. Enable "Allow me to save credentials" so you skip typing the password next time.
Connect on Mac
- Download Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store (free)
- Click Add PC and enter your server IP
- Double-click your connection and enter credentials when prompted
Connect on iPhone / iPad
- Download Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store
- Tap + then "Add PC" and enter your server IP
- Tap the connection and enter your login details
Connect on Android
- Download Microsoft Remote Desktop from Google Play
- Tap + then "Desktop" and enter your server IP
- Tap the connection and login with your credentials
Troubleshooting Common Issues
| Error | Fix |
|---|---|
| Connection timed out | Verify your IP is correct. Try adding :3389 at the end |
| Authentication error | Check username/password. Username is case-sensitive. |
| Black screen after login | Wait 30 seconds. Try reducing colour depth to 16-bit. |
| Slow/laggy connection | Reduce display settings in RDP options. Set colour to 16-bit. |
| Can't connect at all | Check your internet. Try restarting the RDP from your panel. |
